The Abusive Muse

“Well, What’s the Story?”

“Well, There’s this pirate… In Truth, I Have Not Written a Word.”

Shakespeare in Love | ‘Romeo & Ethel’ (HD) – Joseph Fiennes, Geoffrey Rush | MIRAMAX

WAKE UP!”

“Whaaaa?”

“Wake the fuck UP!”

“Who are you?”

“Your Muse.”

“Oh, I thought You That Delirium Tremens Monster.”

“No. He will be around later. Right now you have me.”

“Okay. Something on your mind?”

“Yes. You need to get up and write.”

“I am sleepy.”

“Time enough to sleep when you’re dead.”

“Really? We gonna go there?”

“Get your ass up; plant your ass on that chair. Hit the keyboard. Write!”

“Don’t wanna.”

“’Want’ has nothing, and everything to do with this.”

“Okay.”

To Be Continued….

  1. Love this story! It makes me laugh every time I read it! Reminds me of a 21st century version of mark Twain story. Thanks for reposting! Last of family left this morning now to catch up on lost sleep. Off for my nap to catch up on my sleep.

  2. barbaramullenix ,

Don’t worry and certainly never feel compelled to comment. I just wish for my visitors to enjoy themselves.
And I thank you very sincerely for spending your time here.

    Cheers,
    Lance

  3. I’m new here (don’t know how I wandered over) and don’t always comment – but I do always “Like” (if I do). I’m not a bot but also don’t want you thinking poorly of me when I don’t comment.

  4. I’m so happy to hear that you’re taking good care and you’re making time to write! Creativity is the best way to exorcise the demons. Otherwise they’ll exercise you. At least that’s how it plays out for me. Looking forward to this series!

  5. Dear Sandra, I have sworn off Face Book. Turned off my Cell Phone, Killed my Email. Locked my Door. But I do visit my Blog for Inspiration and to see who is reading me. (Yes I am a slut)
Thank you for your visit and comment.
    Thank you.
    Thank you.
This ‘Muse’ Post is going to be a long one, but I’d like to write it ‘sober.’
    Just for a change.
“Get out of my ‘Comfort’ Zone.”
    Perhaps tomorrow….

  6. “To be continued,” so happy to hear that! Keep at it Lance. What a great movie clip you included too. One of my favorites.
