I often wondered how many REAL music aficionados were in HG. Texas music I embraced early on. Pretty sure I was the only one in HG, other than Gene Gandy, that “got” Doug Sahm. I spun it all from Billie Holliday and Bill Evans magic jazz piano to Ray Wylie Hubbard to ZZ Top to Alvin Crow. And throwed CDB and MTB in that stew too. And evidently you were a fellow traveler in my music realm as well.
