Right. I love movies too. Just watch “Apocalypse Now Redux” y-day on blu-ray. Awesome.
Of course you are correct. What I probably should have said is that Brando epitomized the technique.
He wasn’t the first method actor, but he is the one who made it a house hold word.
I think he was the first method actor. Outstanding talent to be sure. Thanks for checking out the blog and for the comment.
One of the best scenes between two actors ever filmed. Brando was simply the greatest actor, film actor at least, who’s lived, IMO. He was effortless. It just came to him. Wonderful scene.
Most definitely. I think I have seen all of his films. My favorite is still “Street Car Named Desire.” Thanks for the comment Teela.
Nobody does it like Marlon Brando!!!!! I loved him in Apocalypse Now.
I’ll add that to my list (it’s a LONG LIST)
Check out “Street Car Named Desire.” You will love it. Got Vivien Leigh, Karl Malden, Kim Hunter, Brando, et al.
It’s been a long time since I have checked out any of his work. and I think the very first movie I ever saw him in was Don Juan with Johnny Depp ( he was in that, wasn’t he?) Being 35, I missed out on seeing those early ones with a young Brando…
Being older now, and having been exposed to a variety of Marlo Fans, I’m slowly getting through them… 🙂
Great Movie! Gotta love Brando.
Great contribution on your part!
